Record Label Profile: Stax Records
We talked earlier in the week about bad deals, and if you think a bad deal can't bring down a successful label, just ask Stax. Record Label Profile: Enjoy Records
Enjoy Records doesn't get tossed around in conversation a lot, but it should - and I'm not just saying that because it is a record label that started in a record store (you know how much I love that). Record Label Profile: Stiff Records
Stiff Records moved over 30,000 copies of a completely silent album entitled The Wit and Wisdom of Ronald Reagan. Oh, you need more? OK, well, you can thank Stiff Records for things like Elvis Costello, Madness, label tours and generally being very successful at doing things that people would tell you would never, ever work. Sometimes it is good to take some time out to remember that many, many influential music businesses ran purely on the love the stuff.  Learn more about the Stiff Records story.
